Guide To Choosing A Species
If you have no idea whatsoever what species you'd like to use for your character, perhaps one of the following might work for you. Or, you can ignore these and choose any other species of supernatural/fantasy/mythical character you want! You're also free to merge two species together and make a hybrid, like a half human, half vampire with lesser vampiric abilities, or something random. We try to make as little creative restrictions as possible.
Vampire: There are a bunch of different types of vampires if you do some research, but the main things about almost every vampire, is that they feed off human blood, and have supernatural strength and speed.
Werewolf: Again, lots of different types of werewolf-like creatures, Lycans for example. Werewolves are people that can shift into a wolf any time, or with some species, only at a full moon.
Witches: Anyone can learn magic, even humans, but witches are born psychics, and therefore are better at controlling magic, and making the most out of it.
Demons: The list of demons is never ending. You could have something like a fire demon, an ice demon, etc, with elemental powers. You could have seductive demons like Incubus and Succubus, or demons such as Alp, who feed off of nightmares.
Shapeshifters: Everyone's take on shape shifters can differ. Some people say they are born with the ability to shift into only one sort of animal, others say they choose as they age, and others again say they have the ability to change into absolutely any living creature. Even dragons.
Humans: Then there's always humans. Humans could be just average people, or, they could be similar to my own character Reverie, being hunters of some kind.
This list will be broadened if I feel the need. Googling demons, mythical creatures, etc, helps quite a bit too!
